Project overview
The project’s main goal was to enable a set of engineers to use Hololens in order to identify the documentation & potential problems ATMs might have. The primary need was to reduce the amount of equipment engineers would need to carry and aid them in repairing ATMs, but also to enable them to communicate with a supervisor in case they were blocked by an issue they couldn’t resolve.
My Contributions
I have been introduced to the project mid-discovery phase and I contributed with workshop facilitation, creating journey maps, wireframes, prototype, user tests & stakeholder management.
Defining
I initiated a workshop with product owners, developers, clients and an engineering representative where we were able to identify the process a service technician has, problems & opportunities. This is represented in the map I initiated and maintainted:
Ideating
After understanding key issues, I facilitated an ideation session, generating as many ideas as possible and then diverged into a single solution. Resulting in two concepts of the happy path we were about to test with the engineering representative.
Results
The project was successfully implemented as an MVP with more than 100 devices using the designed solution and a small set of supported ATMs. Reference
